What are the different kinds of CPR and which one do I take?
CPR BLS is for those who are in the health field and need a more in-depth class. CRP
AED is designed for the community/layperson. You will need to make sure the class
meets the requirements from your employer, licensing agency or school based on the
course descriptions.
What are the requirements for CPR/First Aid?
You must attend and pass the entire class, either all in-person or online lecture
and in-person skills. You must provide an email in order to receive access to your
card.
How long is my card good for?
American Heart Association CPR cards are good for two years from month of issue.
When will I get my card?
Students will receive an email with a link to the AHA site to access and print off
their card about two weeks after successful course completion.
What if I lose my card?
You can go to the American Heart Association website and print off another card.
Do you have online CPR/First Aid classes?
Yes. You can take the CPR Online + Skills Session or the First Aid Online + Skills
Session class where the coursework part is completed online and then the skills portion
is done in-person.
What do I do if my card is expired?
If your current card has expired, you will need to take the whole course over again.
Do you offer a combined CPR and First Aid class?
We do not offer a combined class. You must register and pay for each class separately.
The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in BLS, ACLS and PALS and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an education course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association. Any fees charged for such a course, except a portion of the fees needed for AHA course material, do not represent income to the Association.
ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp Community College is an approved American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center for AHA CPR and First Aid courses.
