Program Description

Our Design & Drafting Technology program gives you a career blueprint with a variety of options. We combine computer-aided drafting and architectural design which can be used in both residential and commercial construction.

In the Design & Drafting Technology – Residential Design certificate program, you’ll study common building materials used in residential and light commercial construction, how to calculate heat loss and gain according to the ACCA Manual J, basic computer aided drafting, and how to estimate and calculate cost and quantities of materials needed for a project.

The ability to work cooperatively with others and enjoy a flexible working environment are also important.

  4. Submit ACT, SAT, Next Generation Accuplacer, or Accuplacer test scores (reading and math) or official college transcripts showing completion of post-secondary coursework in English and math to the Admissions Office at any ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp location.
