Program Description

If you strive to serve others in non-commercial organizations such as hospitals, schools, long-term care and corrections facilities, our Dietary Manager program is the perfect fit for you. Our program is offered online and can be completed in as little as one semester. We have designed the program to prepare you for management of Food and Nutrition Services departments.

Dietary Manager students are passionate about serving others and are able to work with a variety of people. They possess good communication skills and  can efficiently multi-task. The ability to thrive in a high stress environment is also a strong point. 

You can start the Dietary Manager program in Fall, Spring or summer terms. Follow these steps to finish your application:

  3. Ready to apply? Complete an Application for Admission.
  4. Submit ACT, SAT, Next Generation Accuplacer, or Accuplacer test scores (reading and math) or official college transcripts showing completion of post-secondary coursework in English and math to the Admissions Office at any ܽƵapp location.


Special Program Requirement:

  • A grade of “C” or higher is required for all Dietary Manager courses to graduate from the program.


Approvals and Affiliations

This program is approved by the Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professionals (ANFP); students are eligible for ANFP Pre-Professional membership. Graduates of this program are eligible for professional membership to ANFP and are eligible to sit for the CDM®, CFPP® Credentialing exam. The CDM®, CFPP® credential meets the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations requirement for directors of food and nutrition at Long-Term Care Facilities.
