Program Description

We will prepare you to be a successful manager in our Livestock Management & Production program. You will easily transfer your hands-on training at our 900-acre livestock and land lab into a livestock manager responsible for running a business. Your learning experience is enhanced through our renowned cooperative internship program that sends you across the U.S. and the world.

You will work hands-on with cattle, sheep, swine, and horses at our Agriculture Center. Our center includes:

  • Animal Health Unit
  • Feed Processing Complex
  • Beef Unit
  • Swine Gestation, Farrowing, Nursery, and Finishing
  • Sheep Unit

You will be responsible for making sure the goods from the animals are produced safely, efficiently and profitably by monitoring what the livestock is fed, keeping the animals healthy and ensuring overall cleanliness of animals and facilities.

A successful livestock manager must keep accurate financial records, supervise employees, and ensure proper care of the livestock. Careers include:

  4. Submit ACT, SAT, Next Generation Accuplacer, or Accuplacer test scores (reading and math) or official college transcripts showing completion of post-secondary coursework in English and math to the Admissions Office at any ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp location.

Transfer Pathway

Our Livestock Management & Production program has a transfer pathway agreement with . You are able to receive a hands-on education while earning your A.A.S degree at ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp before enrolling at KSU to complete a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education.
